Ridgeway Farm Stud is one of the leading experts in producing top horses who excel at team and championship levels
The vision of Ridgeway Farm Stud is to compete at the top level in both show jumping and eventing and to become a leading European boutique stud of first-choice, with an outstanding reputation for producing and selling the best show jumping and eventing horses. The horses are cared for to the highest standard, the aim being to improve their performance, longevity of competition life, wellness and happiness.
RFS is also known for buying first-rate young show jumpers in Europe. The buying process involves a highly skilled selection committee of experts. The RFS breeding programme dovetails with this and has generated a team of excellent event horses, each identified with potential to reach international team levels.
RFS stands three stallions, the world renowned Peppermill by Burggraaf out of a Voltaire mare, who jumped many times for Great Britain, Cabo Verde by Christian 25 out of a Graff Top mare and Pepper Vincent by Vivant van de Helfink out of a Chacco-Blue mare.
The most successful world-class horses to date trained to top level at RFS are Peppermill (ridden by John Whitaker MBE and British Equestrian Olympian) and Hello Forever (ridden by Scott Brash MBE and Olympic Gold Medalist). Peppermill represented GB at the Olympics, World Games and European Championships.
All aspects of managing individual horses is addressed with great care and extensive research using the most up-to-date technology, techniques and methods. The stud is built on a culture and foundation of transparency, high integrity and teamwork where every small detail always matters.
